About me

Welcome to Giri Law Insights!

I am Krishna Giri, a dedicated solicitor with a diverse educational background. I am based in Sydney, where I practice immigration and family law. I hold a Diploma in Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB)/Legal Extension Committee of the University of Sydney (LEC) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law, Australia. Additionally, I have earned a Master of Public Policy from the esteemed Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, Germany.

As an overseas-qualified lawyer from Nepal, I bring over a decade of experience working with law firms and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). My career has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of legal and policy issues across various sectors, with a particular focus on family and migration law.

In September 2023, I further expanded my expertise by completing the ‘Immigration Essentials for Lawyers’ course through the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), solidifying my knowledge in immigration law.

This blog aims to share my insights and provide valuable information on family and migration law. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of legal matters and keeping them informed about the latest developments in these fields.
